About Us

Since McCurdy School was founded in 1912, the school has been recognized as an outstanding school in Northern New Mexico. It was the first school of any type in the Espanola Valley educating students before public education came to Espanola.

McCurdy is accredited by
NCA and by the University Senate of the United Methodist Church. McCurdy serves students from pre-school through high school.

Our students come from Espanola and surrounding communities, and reflect the diversity of the valley. Approximately 300 young men and women make up the student body.

McCurdy students have the opportunity to be active in school activities, athletics, religion, and fine arts while preparing for their future. Ninety-nine percent of McCurdy graduates go on to post secondary school , with most of them earn scholarships. The 2010 graduates from McCurdy earned more money in scholarships than the graduates from Espanola and Pojoaque schools combined.

McCurdy has students from a large variety of religious backgrounds, and welcomes students of all faiths.
