Camp Stars Summer Camp

Camp Stars is a 7-week summer camp for rising 1st – 6th graders, run by McCurdy's LEER Literacy program. This year's camp will run from June 9th - July 23rd.

TIME: Monday - Thursday from 9:00am – 3:00pm
(Extended care available from 8:30am-4:30 pm)
AVAILABLE FOR: Rising 1st – 6th graders

COST: $150/child for the entire summer (scholarships available)
McCurdy and LEER know that summer matters. Camp Stars will focus on books and reading so you can send your child back to school a stronger reader and better prepared for the school year. Camp includes breakfast, lunch, healthy snack, all the arts, drama, painting, singing and dancing. It will also have fun science experiments, ways to have a healthier body and mind, time to learn about how much God loves us and wants us to love others, and one-on-one time with a Reading Buddy for your child to love books and reading.​​
LEER Honors Education Internship
Ready to turn your passion for teaching into real-world impact? The LEER Honors Education Internship Program is a selective, paid 8-week summer opportunity for Education Majors who want more than a resume boost—they want meaningful, hands-on experience. As an intern, you’ll receive professional training and then step into the classroom through a literacy-focused summer camp serving children in grades 1–6. You’ll build confidence in behavior management, sharpen your instructional skills, and grow as a leader, all while helping young readers thrive.
