New Vistas
We are happy to welcome New Vistas to the Casita Village on McCurdy Campus.
New Vistas has been improving lives of New Mexico residents with disabilities since 1971. They provide 5 core services to 9 counties in New Mexico, including advocacy, independent living skills training, peer support, information and referral, and transition assistance.

In addition to providing resources and support, New Vistas hosts the Community Living Skills class held on online and in-person at McCurdy's Family Resource Center.

Community Living Skills (CLS) is a fun and empowering workshop hosted by New Vistas. This class is especially well suited for people with disabilities and/or people wanting to learn more independent living skills. It helps people build confidence, learn practical skills, and take real steps toward living more independently.

About New Vistas
New Vistas partners with and supports people with disabilities and families of children with special needs to enrich their quality of life in New Mexico.

They are a consumer-controlled, community-based, cross-disability, nonresidential private nonprofit agency based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, providing an array of independent living services for nine northern New Mexico Counties. 51% of staff are persons with disabilities and 51% of Board of Directors are persons with disabilities.
